Acute Care Surgery (ACS) APP Lead - Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

TheACSAdvanced Practice Provider (ACSAPP) coordinates clinical management ofacute care surgerypatients throughout the continuum of care in collaboration with the attendingACSsurgeon. TheACSAPP collaborates with the entire interdisciplinary team ensuring continuity of high-quality care, family support, and implementation of best practices and timely provision of clinical services. As the Lead, position also will include responsibility for administrative and staff meetings, provider oversite, and scheduling. TheACSAPP Lead will participate in the development of educational programs, develop, monitor, and communicate provider work schedules. Provides direct patient care through scheduled time as a provider in theACSDepartment.

Minimum requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program; current NYS license; BLS for Healthcare Provider, ACLS and PALS Provider; ATLS certification; Demonstration of clinical decision-making skills; Ability to effectively communicate with medical staff, healthcare clinicians, patients, families and the public; Strong computer skills; Ability to establish priorities and complete activities independently or with limited supervision.

Annual Salary: $167,700 - $195,600
