We are seeking a highly motivated Acute Care Pediatric Physician Assistant to provide exceptional care in our state-of-the-art Acute Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU). Required Skills:
Certification as a Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Care (PACC) Physician Assistant or eligible for certification
Current NCCPA certification and licensure to practice
Critical Care Certification (e.g., BC Critical Care required)
Proven experience in pediatric cardiac or critical care settings
Strong clinical judgment and adaptability to manage complex, high-acuity cases
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
Ability to write comprehensive, accurate documentation daily
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs), ventilator and trach management
Knowledge of inotropic infusions such as Milrinone and Dopamine
Familiarity with managing chest tubes and external pacing wires
Previous work in a step-down or telemetry environment
Preferred Education and Experience:
Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
Minimum of 2 years of pediatric critical care or cardiology experience
Experience working within collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
Other Requirements:
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including 13-hour shifts during daytime hours (07:00 20:00)
Willingness to engage in ongoing learning and professional development
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
Licensure, certifications, travel, and other reimbursements applicable as needed
