Shift: 3x12-hour shifts/week, primarily on weekends; day and night shifts available (7a-7:30p or 7p-7:30a)
Hours per week: 36 hours/week

Licenses/Certs: MA license, PALS, BLS, DEA, COVID and Flu vaccines (or approved exemptions)
Experience: Minimum 2 years pediatric acute care experience, certification as Peds NP or Pediatric Acute Care NP, expertise in pain management
Pay & Benefits
Hourly Pay: $159.46/hour (regular rate), with overtime at 1.5x after 12 hours and double on holidays

What You’ll Do
Provide inpatient pediatric pain management support post-surgery (cancer pain, sickle cell, etc.)
Monitor critically ill patients, including weaning from sedatives and on PCA/epidural pumps
Collaborate with attending physicians and charge APRNs during shifts
Conduct assessments, manage pain, and adjust treatment plans accordingly
Document all patient care accurately in EPIC EMR system
Support the care of patients on the pain service, ensuring high-quality, empathetic care
Engage in weekends and night shifts with flexibility for preferred schedules
What You Need
Board certification as a Pediatric NP or Pediatric Acute Care NP with relevant experience in pain management
Massachusetts license (or must obtain prior to start)
PALS certification, BLS, DEA registration
Minimum of 2 years pediatric acute care experience
Excellent assessment skills, clear communication, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
About the Assignment This position is based in a leading facility in Boston, MA, specializing in inpatient care for pediatric pain management. You will work as part of a dedicated anesthesia and pain division team, taking care of complex cases in a dynamic inpatient environment. No procedures are required for this locum role; focus is on post-op pain management and critical patient assessment.
