A 198-bed, Level III trauma center in Farmington is seeking an Acute Care Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation team. Serving the Four Corners region, this hospital provides a wide range of services including medical and surgical care, rehabilitation, a childbirth center, cancer services, nephrology, pediatrics, inpatient behavioral health, day surgery, and comprehensive imaging and laboratory support.
This position is based in the acute care setting and focuses on evaluating and treating patients across multiple hospital service lines. The Occupational Therapist works with individuals recovering from medical, surgical, and specialty care conditions, supporting functional independence and improved quality of life through evidence-based rehabilitation interventions.
The role requires strong clinical judgment and adaptability due to the diverse patient population and wide scope of services within the facility. Responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, implementing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support safe recovery and discharge planning across the continuum of care.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of acute care Occupational Therapy experience required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon submission
Additional required certifications may be obtained post-hire
Must obtain New Mexico Occupational Therapist licensure prior to start date (candidates without current NM or compact licensure will be considered)
