Join Our Lexington Kentucky Team as a Nocturnist Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - A Role Designed for You

Bring better to the bedside in Lexington. In this role youll combine clinical skill with purpose delivering patient-centered care and driving performance in a supportive environment. Youll have the autonomy to lead and the resources to grow-while making a difference for patients and families every day.

We are hiring for anocturnist nurse practitioner position. Anocturnistrole requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with anocturnalschedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration

Become a part of a cohesive and established team of 20 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers APPs supported by 2 clinical performance nurses at St. Joseph Hospital.

Work alongside a culturally diverse team with a balanced mix of experienced providers and new graduates.

Collaborate closely with hospital administration participating in committees and projects to improve hospital operations and patient care.

Enjoy a supportive work environment with regular touch bases and social gatherings outside the hospital to foster team cohesion.

Qualifications

Board-certifiedeligible nurse practitioner.

Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling

Enjoy a flexible schedule that balances work and personal life. Most prioritize family or outdoor time and support each other by covering shifts when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Manage complex cases in a semi-open ICU with 24-hour intensivist coverage.

Perform procedures as per your privileges procedures are not required.

Participate in team huddles at least three times a week and a monthly all-staff meeting to stay connected with practice updates hospital-related topics and developments within Sound Physicians.

Attend monthly educational CME meetings and hospital-wide hospital medicine committee meetings.

Collaborate with Hospitalist APPs who independently manage pre-op patients in a clinical setting with support from supervising physicians and staff.

Practicing Continue your career as a practicing clinician by continually expanding your clinical expertise and delivering exemplary patient care. Develop foundational leadership skills and contribute to organizational excellence by engaging in committees and supporting the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

Single-site Leadership Assume leadership responsibilities at the practice level as a Lead Advanced Practice Provider Associate Medical Director or Medical Director. In these roles you will oversee clinical teams collaborate with hospital partners and ensure both operational and clinical excellence within a single-site setting.

Multi-site Leadership Expand your impact by supporting multiple practices as a Regional or Divisional Lead Advanced Practice Provider. These roles emphasize the recruitment and retention of Advanced Practice Providers and facilitate team integration initiatives.

Specialty Leadership Advance to senior leadership as Chief Advanced Practice Officer where you will collaborate with service line leaders to influence organizational programs and lead initiatives that develop team-based care models on a national scale.
