Provide hands-on care in a high-acuity acute care emergency surgery setting. Work 24-hour coverage shifts in a collaborative, high-intensity environment. Gain exposure to a wide range of emergent surgical and inpatient cases. Partner directly with surgeons, hospitalists, and multidisciplinary teams. Practice at the top of your license with strong clinical autonomy and support. Be part of a mission-driven team focused on rapid, life-saving interventions.

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and manage acute surgical patients
• Assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of emergency surgical care
• Support pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative management
• Respond to emergent surgical consults and inpatient needs
• Collaborate closely with attending surgeons and care teams on complex cases
• Ensure timely documentation, communication, and continuity of care across shifts

Work Experience

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with active Maryland licensure (or eligibility)
• Experience in acute care, emergency medicine, surgery, or inpatient hospital-based practice strongly preferred
• Comfort working in high-pressure, rapidly evolving clinical environments
• Strong clinical judgment, procedural aptitude, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered surgical care
