Job Title: Weekend Activities Assistant (Part-Time)

Position Details

  • Schedule: Part-Time (Saturday & Sunday)

  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00/hour

General Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Activity Director in executing a creative and interactive activities program. You will ensure our programs meet the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of every resident while adhering to federal, state, and corporate standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Program Execution: Lead and participate in individual, small-group, and large-group activities.

  • Planning & Documentation: Assist in developing the monthly activity calendar, maintaining attendance records, and completing assessment documentation/progress notes.

  • Resident Engagement: Encourage participation in hobbies, crafts, and reading; provide specialized materials (e.g., Braille or audiobooks) as needed.

  • Care Coordination: Participate in discharge planning and the development of activity care plans and resident assessments.

  • Communication: Act as a bridge between residents, families, staff, and the public to ensure resident interests are prioritized.

  • Transportation: Help arrange transportation for outings, medical appointments, or discharges.

  • Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and secure Activity Department.

Qualifications

  • A positive, "can-do" attitude and a passion for working with seniors.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently during weekend shifts while following the Activity Director's vision.
