Activities Assistant / Life Enrichment Assistant

Wellspring Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Campus - Frankenmuth, MI
Part-Time | $16.00 per Hour

Applications accepted through August 4, 2026.

Do you enjoy creating meaningful moments for others? Are you energized by building relationships, planning engaging experiences, and making a positive impact every day?

Wellspring Lutheran Services is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Assistant / Life Enrichment Aide to help create engaging, purposeful experiences for older adults living at our Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Campus in Frankenmuth.

This is far more than an activities role. It is an opportunity to help residents maintain connections, celebrate personal interests, create new memories, and experience joy in every stage of life. Whether you're leading a resident favorite, supporting a community outing, sharing conversations that brighten someone's day, or helping families stay engaged in their loved one's journey, your work directly contributes to residents' quality of life and overall well-being.

Located in the heart of Michigan's Great Lakes Bay Region, Frankenmuth offers a unique blend of small-town charm, vibrant tourism, community events, and rich cultural experiences. Residents and team members alike enjoy easy access to festivals, local attractions, scenic riverfront areas, and one of Michigan's most welcoming communities. As part of our Life Enrichment team, you'll help bring those experiences to residents through both on-campus programming and community connections.

Position Overview

As an Activities Assistant, you'll work alongside the Life Enrichment Director and interdisciplinary care team to create meaningful experiences that support residents socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. You'll help foster an environment where every resident feels valued, engaged, and connected while contributing to a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the campus.

Success in this role comes from a genuine desire to connect with seniors, creativity in engaging others, and the ability to build trusted relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and fellow team members.

What You'll Experience

Every day brings something different. One morning may involve helping a resident rediscover a favorite hobby, while the afternoon could include supporting a campus celebration, community outing, or group activity that encourages connection and laughter. You'll play an important role in helping residents remain engaged in the things that matter most to them while ensuring programs reflect their interests, preferences, and goals.

You'll also collaborate closely with nursing, therapy, social services, and other departments to support each resident's overall care experience and help create a positive, person-centered environment across the campus.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who enjoys working with older adults and believes meaningful relationships are at the heart of exceptional care. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed to create memorable experiences for residents.

Previous experience in activities, recreation, senior living, skilled nursing, customer service, hospitality, education, childcare, community programs, or event coordination is helpful, but not required. We welcome individuals who are enthusiastic about serving seniors and eager to learn.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Applicants should have a current Chauffeur's License or be willing to obtain one upon hire to support resident outings and transportation needs.
