Job Overview

Sigma Systems is hiring a detail-oriented Active Ingredient Technician to support vaccine production in a clean room environment. This role is ideal for candidates with aseptic techniques, cell culture experience, or laboratory/manufacturing backgrounds who are looking to grow in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.

You will play a critical role in preparing vaccine components, ensuring compliance with USDA regulations, and maintaining high-quality production standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform aseptic processing in clean room environments using virus and cell culture techniques
  • Prepare and handle vaccine components following strict SOPs and USDA regulations
  • Maintain accurate in-process documentation and batch records
  • Support training and mentoring of new and existing team members
  • Participate in root cause analysis, CAPA, and process improvements
  • Assist with deviation investigations and change control processes
  • Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards
  • Identify and escalate production issues and workflow disruptions

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Biology or related field preferred)
  • 1+ year experience in laboratory, biotech, or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and clean room procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cell culture or vaccine/biologics production
  • Familiarity with GMP/regulated environments
  • Exposure to equipment troubleshooting and automation systems

Work Schedule & Requirements

  • Shift: 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
  • Schedule: 4 days per week
  • Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required
  • Rabies vaccination is mandatory
