The Acquisition Research Analyst is responsible for supporting the underwriting and due diligence of potential real estate investments and acquisitions. This position provides critical analysis that will influence business decisions. The Financial Research Analyst works closely with the CEO and Investment team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide Analyze and evaluate prospective acquisitions of properties throughout the U.S. in niche asset classes including Self-Storage, Student Housing, and Mobile Home Parks.
  • Prepare investment thesis summaries and presentations.
  • Analyze due diligence materials such as property financials, leases, real estate taxes, capital expenditures, etc.
  • Build and maintain database of potential acquisitions.
  • Develop financial models to evaluate new investments.
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Insurance, Banking or a related field.
  •  1-2 years of acquisition or investment sales experience in commercial real estate preferred.
  •  Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  •  Experience in Financial Modeling.
  •  Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  •  Strong project management and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent worker and analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail.
