THIS IS A FIRE DISTRICT POSITION ONLY
San Bernardino County Fire Protection District is recruiting for Accounts Representatives who support a variety of activities of the Fire District and community Fire Stations through the billing and collection of fees for services rendered. Accounts Representatives perform difficult and responsible work in the maintenance of billing and customer accounts. Responsibilities include the preparation, processing, posting, and review of billing documents and fiscal records. Accounts Representatives perform duties independently and as a member of small and large teams, typically in an active and busy business office environment.
The eligible list may be used to fill additional vacancies as they occur within the department.

Background: A successful background check is required prior to assignment.
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.

Minimum Requirements
Experience: Eighteen (18) months (full-time equivalent) experience with billing records, performing billing and accounting tasks using a computerized billing/fiscal software system as the primary responsibility, including posting to accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Note: Cashiering and sales experience is not considered qualifying.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and demonstrates strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills. In addition, this ideal candidate possesses strong experience with a variety of billing and fiscal software, along with familiarity with Excel and Excel formulas.
