    Description

    Arkansas Talent Group is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a contract-to-permanent opportunity with a family-owned, Arkansas-based distribution company in Little Rock, AR . This full-time, day-shift accounting role offers a welcoming, family-oriented culture, strong work-life balance, and the opportunity to grow into a long-term position.

    Position Summary

    In this role, you will compute, classify, record, and verify financial data to support accurate accounting records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with invoices, payments, and customer-facing accounting questions. Experience with sales tax processes in Arkansas and surrounding states is a plus.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Compile and organize invoices, checks, tax exemption certificates, and lien waivers.
    • Verify, post, and reconcile business transactions, including funds received and disbursed.
    • Process credit and debit memos for invoice corrections as needed.
    • Research and resolve payment issues raised by vendors or purchasing agents.
    • Enter data into financial systems according to company procedures.
    • Respond professionally to questions from employees, vendors, clients, and customers.
    • Support accurate accounting processes and assist with related administrative tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Clear and respectful written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Office 365.
    • Sales tax knowledge for Arkansas and surrounding states is a plus.
