Key Responsibilities


  • Generate and send customer invoices accurately and on time
  • Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up with customers 
  • Process incoming payments via check, ACH, wire transfer, and credit card 
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies 
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and communications 
  • Prepare aging reports and assist with collections efforts 
  • Work with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues
  • Apply payments and credits to the correct customer accounts 
  • Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting 
  • Adding or updating accounting policy and procedure documentation
  • Adding and maintaining reseller certificates and state registrations for Nexus in Avalara 
  • Processing payroll and 401k
  • Purchasing Backup and Support
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications


Required:


•         2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience.


•         Proficiency with accounting software.


•         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


•         High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.


•         Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail.


•         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).


•         Proficiency in month-end close procedures and account reconciliation.


Preferred:


•       Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with experience with ERP systems, specifically Odoo.


•       Avalara AvaTax or other multi-state sales tax systems 


•       ADP Payroll and 401 (k) administration

 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
 
Salary Range: $54,000 - 60,000
