Required qualifications include:
· Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal staff
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and transaction processing
· Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
· Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial and donor information with discretion
· Basic understanding of accounting principles, general ledger coding, and financial recordkeeping
· Experience processing cash receipts, contributions, payments, or accounts receivable transactions
· Ability to reconcile transactions, identify discrepancies, and apply gift documentation or donor restrictions appropriately
Preferred qualifications include:
· Experience in accounts receivable, gift processing, or cash receipts, preferably in a nonprofit environment
· Familiarity with nonprofit accounting principles, including restricted funds and donor-designated gifts
· Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT and Raiser’s Edge NXT
· Experience working with donor databases or advancement services operations
Key responsibilities include:
· Receive, review, and process charitable contributions, pledge payments, and other revenue transactions in an accurate and timely manner
· Code revenue to the appropriate general ledger accounts and fund restrictions in accordance with established policies and procedures
· Work collaboratively with staff to resolve incomplete documentation, research discrepancies, and address complex transactions
· Prepare and enter journal entries related to cash receipts, revenue activity, and other assigned accounting transactions
· Assist with reconciliations, reporting, and other accounting duties as assigned
· Maintain accurate records and ensure the confidentiality of financial and donor information
The Foundation seeks a detail-oriented and service-focused professional to serve as Accounts Receivable Coordinator. This position is responsible for processing charitable contributions and other revenue transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the Foundation’s accounting operations in a collaborative nonprofit environment.
The Foundation is committed to a work-life balance. The annual salary for this position is budgeted between $55,000 and $63,000 and is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers paid time off, health care, and retirement benefits.
