Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• 
  
• Process vendor and subcontractor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• 
  
• Review purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance
• 
  
• Manage lien waivers and ensure all compliance requirements are met prior to payment processing
• 
  
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate payment discrepancies
• 
  
• Assist with weekly payment runs including ACH, wire transfers, and checks
• 
  
• Maintain subcontractor records and payment documentation
• 
  
• Partner with project managers to obtain approvals and ensure proper documentation is in place
• 
  
• Support month-end close activities, including AP accruals and reporting
• 
  
• Assist with audits and contribute to process improvement initiatives
• 
  

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• 
  
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience required
• 
  
• Construction, contractor, or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred
• 
  
• Experience handling lien waivers required
• 
  
• Experience with purchase orders, invoice matching, and vendor payment processing
• 
  
• ERP/accounting system and strong Excel skills experience required
•
