We have a construction company in San Jose, CA seeking a strong AP Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis.Highlights:Starts ASAP (interview this week and start next week)Pay is $30/hr100% onsite required!Hours are 8am-5pm Monday-FridayExperience with QuickBooks Online is a must!Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesTimely processing of employee expense reports for payment including verification of expenses and related receipt documentation. Also verifies General Ledger account charge/coding of expenses.Management and effective organization of vendor records in computer systems as well as physical files.Written and oral communications with Client's staff and vendors regarding status of payments.Collaborate with the Accounting Manager on the development of standard operating procedures (SOP) and accounting procedure manuals as necessary to ensure consistency and smooth operation of A/P processing within the organization.Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as applicable to A/P, including timely year-end electronic filing of 1099 (MISC and NEC) and 1096 forms to IRS & Franchise Tax Board electronically.Research and resolve vendor related problems and issues.Identify and propose continuous process improvements in Accounts Payable.Cross functional collaboration with other Finance functions.Providing support where needed within the department.Complete all work to a high-quality standard in alignment with Agency performance expectations.Qualifications:A minimum of two years' experience in accounting or bookkeeping required.Previous experience in filing year-end federal and state electronic filing systems.Knowledge of internal controls required in a disbursement environment.Experience using QuickBooks Online is requiredCommitment to excellent customer service.Ability to exercise good judgment in sensitive situations and elevate issues to the appropriate person or entity.Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.Excellent organizational skills.Demonstrated attention to details, the ability to manage multiple areas and projects while simultaneously meeting competing payroll and departmental deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
