Salary/Hourly Rate:
$28/hr - $33/hr

Position Overview:
As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the company's financial operations. From processing invoices and vendor payments to reconciling accounts and supporting month-end activities, you will be a trusted partner to both the Finance team and business stakeholders. This role offers excellent exposure within a luxury retail environment and the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
  • Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Review, verify, and code invoices for proper approval and payment.
  • Manage vendor relationships and respond to payment inquiries.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and accounts payable reporting.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation.
  • Monitor AP aging reports and ensure timely payments.
  • Support audit requests and provide necessary financial documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to improve AP processes and workflow efficiency.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
  • 4 - 10 years of Accounts Payable experience.
  • Experience processing high-volume invoices in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
  • Experience within the luxury retail, jewelry, watch, fashion, or consumer goods industries.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting the month-end close and audit preparation.
  • Knowledge of expense management and vendor compliance procedures.
Education Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
