Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing full-cycle accounts payable operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, and related transactions while maintaining compliance with the U.S. GAAP / IFRS and internal controls. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage large transaction volumes efficiently, and a solid understanding of accounting principles, compliance requirements, and payment controls within a structured financial environment.
Key responsibilities include vendor invoice processing, invoice coding, preparing journal entries and AP accruals, supporting month-end close activities, and administering payment processes such as ACH, wire transfers, and check runs, including Positive Pay controls. The specialist will also oversee vendor setup and maintenance, ensure accurate 1099 and regulatory reporting, and provide support during internal and external audits.
