Summary
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, reconciliation of accounts, and support of general ledger activities. This role ensures efficient resolution of discrepancies and supports departmental projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Match vendor invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Verify approvals and ensure accurate account coding
  • Process and post invoices into the accounts payable system
  • Prepare invoices for payment by matching with check remittance documentation
  • Assist with general ledger account reconciliations and open item resolution
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, internal teams, and management
  • Support special projects and additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of accounts payable experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Windows environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
