ABOUT THE ROLE

InterAtlas is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Staff Accountant, this role plays a vital part in supporting the company’s financial operations. You will be responsible for customer billing, accounts receivable functions, collections support, and general accounting duties to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes. As part of a high-volume, fast-paced environment, you will manage a large customer base, process a significant volume of transactions, and work closely with internal departments and customers to maintain accurate records, resolve discrepancies, and support timely collections.

 

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Process and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies with internal teams and clients.
  • Follow up with customers for collections and investigate and resolve customer inquiries.
  • Responsible for customer set up and maintenance including processing credit applications.
  • Process payments received ensuring they are accurately recorded and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Receive, open and distribute incoming mail and perform general administrative tasks for the account department.
  • Assist with driver pay administration by reviewing trip data and ensuring payroll inputs are accurate.
  • Support Accounts Payable tasks during PTO and Vacation periods.
  • Additional financial projects or tasks, as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO US:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping, accounting or invoicing roles.
  • Post-secondary education, focused on Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Previous experience in the transportation, logistics, warehousing, or supply chain sector is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and similar functions.
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understand and maintain high standards of confidentiality while exercising discretion and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
