ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK

Creola, AL | ADMINISTRATIVE

G.A. West & Co., Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our Creola, AL office. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity. This is not a remote role and does require reporting to our office location. Monday - Friday schedule. More details below:

Responsibilities:

  • Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
  • Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
  • Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables
  • Ensure the accuracy of an organization's financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes
  • Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment
  • Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
  • Communicate with vendors and maintain vendor records

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma is required
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience with accounts payable
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with Excel
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Must have effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Team player
