Accounts Payable

Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | Flexible: 8-5ish

Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Cincinnati, Ohio that’s expanding its Accounting team. 
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to support daily accounting operations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong foundational accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will play a key role in account reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany accounting, and accounts payable functions while supporting the overall accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and maintain multiple bank accounts on a weekly basis to ensure accurate cash reporting.

  • Own, maintain, and reconcile numerous balance sheet accounts each month, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.

  • Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries, accruals, and other month-end accounting transactions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate intercompany account balances and transactions.

  • Support accounts payable processes, including invoice review, coding, routing for approval, and payment preparation.

  • Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting requirements.

  • Provide backup support for accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and maintain accurate financial records.

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in an Accounting, Staff Accountant, or Accounts Payable role.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly organized, efficient, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience working with integrated accounting or ERP systems;Microsoft Dynamics AX experience is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
