About the Opportunity
A well-established, family-owned heavy construction company is seeking an Accounts Payable / Administrative Associate to join its finance and operations team. This is a hands-on, in-office position combining AP responsibilities with general administrative support.
This role is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented professional looking to grow within a stable organization and take on increasing responsibility over time.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices, code and enter AP transactions, reconcile vendor statements, and assist with month-end AP activities.
- Support payroll administration and provide backup coverage for payroll-related tasks as needed.
- Perform general office and administrative duties including answering phones, front-desk support, filing, mail handling, and special projects.
- Maintain spreadsheets and reports in Excel and assist with ERP-based AP workflows.
- Help with occasional billing/accounts receivable functions and other finance-related tasks.
- Adapt to changing priorities and contribute wherever needed in a fast-paced office environment.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of office, administrative, or accounting experience.
- Prior accounts payable experience required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Comfortable handling both accounting-related work and general administrative responsibilities.
- Accounting coursework or an associate degree preferred.
- Construction industry experience or familiarity with union payroll is a plus, but not required.
- Reliable, organized, team-oriented, and eager to grow professionally.

- Fully in-office position
- Monday–Friday
- Typical hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $60,000 – $65,000, depending on experience
