An established company in the Winston-Salem area is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who can step in quickly and provide hands-on support across transactional and general accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entries
Support month-end close, including reconciliations and reporting
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist with audits and provide backup documentation as needed
Work closely with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and accounting issues
Utilize accounting software and Excel to track, analyze, and report data
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting support role
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Experience with accounting software (ERP experience a plus)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Pay Details: $24.00 to $27.00 per hour
