Job Details

Jobot is partnering with a fantastic organization that continues to grow, nationally. Our client is seeking to add a dynamic accounting professional to their team. The Accountant will be responsible for the following:

  • Processes accounts payable and expense reimbursements.
  • Serve as a key accounting resource and business partner in assigned office.
  • Ensures the accuracy and timely distribution of client bills.
  • Responds to individual attorney, vendor and client requests and questions.
  • Ensures compliance with companies billing policies and procedures.
  • Reviews accounting e-mail requests and responds within established timeframes.
  • Maintains various accounting reports, spreadsheets and files as assigned.
  • Oversees the preparation, tracking, and payment of tax liabilities.
  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and vendor deposit reconciliations.
  • Responsible for special projects, analysis, and other departmental duties as assigned.
  • Provides support and back up as needed for other accounting team members across the firm.

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, Interpersonal and Other Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and to organize and prioritize numerous tasks.
  • Ability to respond to requests requiring analysis of client billing histories and other basic financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet applications including Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate and follow instructions effectively from internal leadership and staff.
  • Strong numeric and financial aptitude.
  • Ability to maintain cordial, collaborative and productive work relationships.

If you have 2+ years of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable and Payroll experience, a bachelors degree OR associates degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or similar (will consider no degree with additional years of experience), excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, tech savvy across Excel and ERP platforms, a team mentality with motivation and a desire to continue to learn and grow then this could be a great opportunity for you.
