Job Summary


We are seeking an Accountant Specialist to join our team. In this role you will support the accounting department bymaintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing payments, data entry, reconciliations, and other essential accounting tasks.The ideal candidate is highly organized with strong mathematical and problem-solving skills. Some experience in financial preparation and analytics is preferred. Project based or construction accounting a plus. 


Key Responsibilities 


  • Work with a global team to support accounting operations 
  • Enter and maintain accurate financial data and transactions 
  • Maintain vendor, supplier, and customer master files 
  • Process accounts payable transactions, including matching invoices to purchase orders, obtaining approvals, and ensuring proper coding 
  • Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
  • Support accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, cash application, and collections 
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with tax regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements
  • Monitor AP and AR balances and follow up on outstanding payments 
  • Vendor, Supplier, and Customer Relations 
  • Perform weekly bank and credit card reconciliations 
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes 
  • Support financial reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc reporting requests 
  • Assist financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management
  • Assist with maintaining internal controls and audit documentation 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements 
  • Monitor general accounting email accounts and distribute information appropriately
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments
 
Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related financial field 
  • Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in logistics, construction, or infrastructure
  • Experience with construction/project-based accounting and WIP schedules
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong Data Entry and Mathematical Skills 
  • Advanced Excel Skills and QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, flexibility, and ability to resolve disputes
