Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Location: Broken Arrow, OK
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (with full benefits)
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time in-office position (Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for the full cycle of accounts receivable, including the receipt and accounting of all funds paid to the organization. This role involves tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues, maintaining the collections process daily, and applying customer payments to the correct accounts. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will generate and maintain accurate aging reports while working to collect past-due balances.

This position requires a high degree of attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to proactively identify and implement process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, excellent communication and time-management skills, and a willingness to adapt to change.

  • Apply customer payments
  • Researching and solving payment discrepancies
  • Maintains an accurate aging report. Make daily collection requests
  • Send statements to customers with past due balances

  • Maintains AR activity using service calls when issues are found

Minimum Job Requirements
Education:
  • High school diploma.
  • College degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Experience, Training, Knowledge:
  • 2+ years of accounting experience in related field preferred
  • Proficient in accounting processes

Office Equipment and/or software knowledge Required:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365– Outlook, Excel and Word
  • SAP B1, or similar ERP Software

Work Environment:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
