CLA is currently seeking a

Senior to join our CAAS (Nonprofit Industry) group supporting our Western CLA offices. This will be an in-office role based out of any of our offices in the West: Tempe, AZ, Albuquerque, NM, Boise, ID, Spokane, WA, Denver, CO, and Colorado Springs, CO



Job Responsibilities:


  • Client Service: Develop an understanding of each client's business/organization operations. Competent in management of multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Day to Day Transactions: Lead coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts and posting/recording of payroll transactions.
  • Month End Processing: Coordinate and review account reconciliations (i.e. prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals.) Complete complex account reconciliations (investments, debt, industry specific, etc.) Prepare, understand, and review financial statements (basic to complex.) Reviews general ledger, cashflow, allocations, etc. Proactively create process and procedure documentation and build their own backup.
  • Other Quarterly/Annual Processing: Complete sales tax returns and Form 1099s and preparing audit workpapers, tax return workpapers, and other forms or items as requested by clients.
  • Oversee: Workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts. May supervise and ensure the efficiency and quality of work produced by Associates and Analysts.
  • Special Projects: Assist with projects for internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects.


Job Requirements:


  • 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.


The wage range for this position in Colorado is: $70,900 - 108,000.

The wage range for this position in Washington is: $70,900 - 108,000.
