Join our team at Health Services Consultants as our Accounting/Payroll Manager! (Hybrid opportunity)
Since 1986, our family-owned company has managed neighborhood, residential homes for adults with developmental disabilities. As the Accounting/Payroll Manager you will oversee daily accounting operations, with primary responsibility for processing biweekly payroll and month-end/quarter-end close activities. This role ensures accurate records, strong internal controls, and timely reporting, as well as supervising transactional accounting staff under the direction of the CFO.
Job duties include:
- Payroll processing (Primary Responsibility)
- Monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
- Supervise and support AP, AR, and Purchasing staff
- Internal controls, compliance, and documentation
- Collaboration and reporting
- Leadership functions and other duties as assigned, in support of the Finance team
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Hands-on experience processing payroll, payroll systems, and Excel
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, payroll accounting and accruals, and balance sheet reconciliation
- Experience with month-end/quarter-end close ownership
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred or equivalent experience required
- Experience supervising or leading accounting staff preferred
- Familiarity with ERP systems preferred
- Valid, unexpired driver's license preferred
