As an Accounting Operations Specialist, you'll play an important role in supporting the NAVEXs tax compliance and accounting operational processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who enjoys solving problems, working with data, and collaborating across teams.

What you'll do:

• Prepare and maintain reports, schedules, tax records, and documentation used in tax compliance and reporting activities
• Gather, validate, and organize information from multiple systems and teams to facilitate tax filings, reporting, and compliance requirements
• Manage tax calendars and monitor filing deadlines, payment schedules, and key compliance milestones
• Partner with colleagues across Finance and other business functions to collect information needed for tax filings, audits, and tax-related initiatives
• Respond to information requests from tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors by assembling accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in sales and use tax, VAT, GST, and other transactional tax processes
• Maintain organized tax records and documentation to support compliance, reporting, and audit readiness
• Investigate data discrepancies, identify root causes, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues
• Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the tax function
• Contribute to special projects and broader Finance initiatives that support business growth and operational excellence

What you'll bring:

• Associate or Bachelors degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 6+ months of experience in business operations, finance, accounting, compliance, administration, customer support, data management, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work
• Ability to work with data, identify inconsistencies, and solve problems independently
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfort learning new systems, processes, and technical concepts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business applications
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to partner with colleagues across teams
• Curiosity, learning agility, and an interest in developing expertise in tax and compliance.
