    Description

    Are you an experienced accounting professional who enjoys solving problems, reconciling accounts, and keeping financial records accurate?  Qualified Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join a growing team in Fort Valley, Ga. 
    This is a Direct Hire Opportunity.  
    Key Responsibilities: 
    • Lead all accounting and operational finance functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and Cost Accounting.
    • Oversee revenue recognition and cost of goods sold (COGS) accounting in accordance with GAAP.
    • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely financial reporting.
    • Direct inventory accounting, valuation, reconciliation, and controls within a manufacturing or CPG environment.
    • Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance and successful audit completion.
    • Oversee cash flow management, financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
    • Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting procedures.
    • Partner with operations and executive leadership to provide financial analysis and support strategic decision-making.
    • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members while driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
    • Support ERP system optimization and continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations.
    • Bring proven experience within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of inventory and cost accounting.
    Qualifications:
    • Must have 5+ years of accounting and finance leadership experience in a manufacturing or CPG environment 
    • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, retail, CPG, or other inventory-based environments required 
    • Strong background in revenue recognition, COGS, inventory accounting, month-end close, audits, and team leadership, preferred.
    • Advanced attention to detail and organizational skills Strong Excel skills 
    • Experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com, ERP, WMS, or similar accounting systems preferred 
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
