Rate: $57/hr.- $60/hr.

Summary:
Seeking a skilled, self-starting Accounting Manager to join our Corporate Accounting team. This role requires full ownership, limited direction, and a strong accounting background coupled with business acumen. Responsibilities include problem-solving, project management, designing scalable accounting technologies, and exercising good business judgment. Strong communication and partnership skills are essential for facilitating information flow across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Partner with product teams on the launch of new products, including review of contracts, the performance of timely accounting assessments, risk assessments, designing effective & efficient controls to mitigate risks, and ensuring finance requirements are delivered by product and engineering teams to support successful product launches.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal team members and cross-functional teams globally, including legal, product, engineering, tax, and risk teams.
  • Facilitate communication and information flow between cross-functional business partners and the Finance organization.
  • Review end-to-end system flows used for accounting and financial reporting for risk assessment, partnering with engineering and product teams to implement process and control improvements.
  • Drive the implementation of new accounting policies, and updates to existing policies that ensure compliance with GAAP and alignment with business strategy and related accounting guidance.
  • Carry out month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and analytical reviews to ensure an accurate and timely, monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
  • Design and implement scalable accounting processes related to month-end and quarter-end financial close.
Skills:
  • Knowledge of general accounting or auditing principles (emphasis of ASC 606)
  • Knowledge and experience with internal controls
  • Advanced ability to understand system processes
  • A strong business acumen, partnership experience, and communication skills
  • Skilled in comprehending end-to-end systems that impact accounting & financial reporting processes
  • Experience with financial statements and financial analysis
  • Experience leveraging AI to support day to day tasks and improve efficiency
  • Exceptional knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft tools
  • Experience executing and delivering high quality, accurate work in a dynamic, fast paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently as a significant individual contributor with minimal guidance.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields
  • CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience in ASC 606
