About the Opportunity

A Central Valley organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day to day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month end close activities while partnering closely with leadership.

This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys both hands on accounting work and team leadership within a fast moving operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, month end close, AP, AR, payroll coordination, and account reconciliations
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes with accuracy and timeliness
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis
• Assist with audit preparation and coordination with external CPA firms
• Analyze financial data and identify process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Mentor and support accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required
• Previous Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accountant leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience within manufacturing, distribution, logistics, petroleum, agriculture, or operational industries preferred
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience required
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• CPA or CPA track is a plus, but not required
