Join us as we embark on a dynamic adventure!What You Will Be DoingAssisting in the development and maintenance of corporate accounting policies and proceduresMaintaining oversight of business unit compliance with corporate accounting policies and initiativesAnalyzing accounting issues and transactions, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and business combinations, and determining appropriate accounting treatmentSupporting the financial reporting process by preparing and reviewing financial statements, footnotes, and disclosuresProviding technical accounting guidance for significant transactions such as business combinations, debt refinancing, and equity-based compensationAssisting in the design, implementation, and testing of internal controls, including oversight of the internal audit functionSupporting external auditors by providing documentation, explanations, and analysisReviewing business unit reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completenessPerforming various other assigned accounting and finance tasks as neededManaging a team with 2 direct reports (Senior Accountant and AP/AR Supervisor) and 4 indirect reportsWhat We Need From YouTo be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required; candidates without this degree will not be considered)4–5 years of relevant accounting experienceStrong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (US GAAP, IFRS, etc.)Strong experience in AP/AR, reporting, balance sheet oversight, journal entries, and reconciliationsExperience working with manufacturing/automotive clients (required; backgrounds in real estate, non-profit, or government are not a fit)Preferred Experience and SkillsCPA certification (highly preferred)Public accounting experience or a background coming from public (preferred but not required)The PerksSignificant opportunities for career growth due to ongoing company acquisitions and expansionClear upward mobility demonstrated by leadership team career progressionStaffBright – Who We AreStaffBright connects exceptional professionals with fulfilling opportunities in Finance, IT, Engineering, and Sales and Marketing.
