Are you a seasoned Accounting professional with a knack for numbers, keen eye for detail and a passion for leadership? We are currently on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Accounting Manager to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals, where you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing all aspects of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

As our Accounting Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
3. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
4. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
5. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
6. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
7. Managing and tracking the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
8. Leading and managing the accounting team to ensure optimal performance.
9. Job costing, billing, and budget management.
10. Participating in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the senior management team.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
3. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Hands-on experience with accounting software, like QuickBooks.
5. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
6. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
7. Solid experience in job costing and billing.
8. Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
11. Proven ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
