Accounting Manager

The Financial Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the accounting process from accounts payable & general ledger to the preparation of the financial statements for SLI, IRM, Life and Light, LS, ST, GA, LV and Tecate Mexico corporations; and for supporting the Director of Finance and maintaining accurate financial records.RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent) with at least 6 years overall accounting experience and 2 years of manufacturing environment experience.CPA is desirable.Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.Strong excel skills required.Valid driver's license, current proof of insurance and clean driving record.ResponsibilitiesSupervision and direction of the financial accounting group, including cost accounting, AP and AR.Ensure compliance with corporate policies and governmental requirementsEnsure the company's financial reporting is consistent with US GAAPReview accounting internal controls periodically in order to prevent fraudOversee/prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for SLI, Tecate Mexico subsidiariesAssist Controller in cash management and maintain daily bank registersSchedule and wire transfer approved payments to vendors and subsidiariesLead and coordinate internal and external auditsPrepare quarterly sales tax returns and monthly estimatesPrepare annual 571-L Property tax returnMaintain/oversee fixed asset system and depreciate monthlyPrepare/review reports regarding results of operationsCalculate royalty expenses and submit for paymentAnalyze production variances for SLIPrepare monthly departmental profit & loss statementsReview Mexico maquiladora accounting transactionsProvide documentation to CPAs for corporate tax return preparation & estimatesRegular, reliable and predictable attendanceMay perform other job related duties as assignedMay be assigned to any Scantibodies location for any period of timeMay be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
