Accounting Manager

The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm and we are currently seeking an Accounting Manager for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in either Philadelphia, PA (2005 Market St, Two Commerce Square, Philadelphia, PA 19103) or Riverwoods, IL (2700 Lake Cook Rd, Riverwoods, IL 60015). Details of the position are as follows:
 
Job Details:

• Pay: $64-$66/hr to Start!
• 6-month temp-to-hire assignment with possibility for conversion based on performance and business needs.
• Hybrid position – 2 to 3 days per week onsite.
• Position will be mainly responsible for overseeing month-end close activities, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
• Position will supervise and support accounting staff while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of accounting operations.
• Position will review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, audit support documentation, and financial analyses.
• Position will also identify process improvement opportunities and help streamline accounting procedures and reporting processes.
• Position requires collaboration with internal teams and third-party providers to support accounting operations and reporting deadlines.

 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
• 7–9 years of accounting or audit experience required, including 2–3 years of management experience.
• Strong current or recent general ledger accounting experience is required, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and audit support.
• Experience managing accounting teams in a fast-paced environment required.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Great Plains, or NetSuite required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills required.
• Ability to work within accelerated month-end close timelines required.
• Project management experience is a plus.
