We are seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to lead revenue accounting operations for a growing life sciences organization. This newly created position offers the opportunity to build and enhance revenue recognition processes in a complex and evolving business environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on experience with ASC 606, and the ability to collaborate effectively across finance and operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and scalable processes.

Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for revenue recognition under ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP, including the review and assessment of complex customer, collaboration, and partnership agreements.

-Develop, implement, and maintain revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support revenue forecasting, resource tracking, and input-based revenue recognition methodologies, ensuring supporting documentation is accurate and audit-ready.
  • Manage month-end and quarter-end revenue close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and accounts receivable processes.
  • Support gross-to-net revenue accounting activities and review third-party calculations and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare revenue-related financial statement disclosures and support external reporting requirements.
  • Maintain effective internal controls over revenue and receivables, ensuring proper documentation, execution, and compliance.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with significant responsibility for revenue recognition under ASC 606.
  • Experience within the life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.
  • Technical accounting experience, public company experience, and/or Big Four public accounting experience are highly desirable.
