Accounting Manager - Real Estate - Boston - Hybrid

A leading real estate investment firm is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial assets. This role partners closely with asset management, acquisitions, and third-party property teams to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee property-level accounting across a multi-asset portfolio, including financial reporting, budgets, and cash management
• Review and manage third-party property accounting 
• Lead CAM recoveries, reconciliations, and lease-level accounting, including rent rolls and escalations
• Manage loan compliance, lender reporting, and debt-related activities 
• Support audits, including the preparation of financial statements and footnotes
• Handle joint venture accounting, including capital activity, allocations, and waterfall calculations
• Partner on acquisitions and dispositions, including due diligence, prorations, closing entries, and onboarding

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience required 
• Strong experience with property-level and consolidated financials, including cash flow statements
• Hands-on experience with CAM recoveries and reconciliations
• Exposure to joint ventures and waterfall calculations
• Experience supporting year-end audits and preparing financial statements/footnotes
• Knowledge of loan compliance (covenants, draw packages, lender reporting)
• Familiarity with GAAP, IFRS a plus
