Accounting Manager - Project-Based Services

We are representing a well-established, growing organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, project accounting support, and team oversight in a project-based business environment.This role is a strong fit for an accounting professional who combines technical accounting strength with operational leadership. The Accounting Manager will partner with senior leadership to support financial accuracy, compliance, process improvement, and timely reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and monthly closeOversee month-end processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparationSupport cash forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysisOversee project-related accounting activities, including revenue tracking, cost allocation, and profitability reportingEnsure timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and vendor paymentsDevelop, improve, and maintain accounting procedures, internal controls, and workflowsPrepare weekly and monthly financial reports, KPIs, and management reporting packagesPartner with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and operational decision-makingSupport tax compliance activities, audits, and coordination with outside advisorsHelp manage accounting systems, reporting tools, and process improvementsLead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to support accuracy, accountability, and growthQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilityExperience in a project-based, service, construction, integration, or operationally complex environment preferredStrong background in month-end close, financial reporting, and general accounting operationsExperience managing or supervising accounting staffFamiliarity with ERP or accounting systems and advanced Excel skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentPreferred ExperienceProject accounting or job-cost accounting exposureExperience with revenue recognition and COGS trackingExposure to sales/use tax, audit support, and process improvement initiativesExperience working closely with operations or executive leadership teamsWhy Consider This OpportunityVisible role with meaningful impact on accounting operations and business performanceOpportunity to lead process improvements and strengthen reportingCollaborative environment with cross-functional exposureStable, full-time opportunity in a growing organization#J-18808-Ljbffr
