Our client, a rapidly growing, PE-backed global consulting and advisory firm in Boston, is looking to add an Accounting Manager to their team.
This role will own key aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, oversee technical accounting matters across revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, consolidations, and purchase accounting, and partner closely with FP&A, Tax, HR, Legal, and external auditors. The position also offers exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency operations and the opportunity to drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls in a complex, evolving environment.
Responsibilities:
Own key components of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
Prepare technically sound journal entries
Deliver reconciliations that fully tie out and withstand audit scrutiny
Investigate and resolve issues thoroughly
Apply US GAAP across revenue, leases, sub-leases, accruals, loan accounting, stock-based compensation, consolidation accounting, and purchase price accounting.
Support IFRS and international accounting requirements
Evaluate accounting treatments and document positions
Perform detailed analytical reviews and explain movements
Partner with FP&A and own your numbers end-to-end
Support multi-entity, multi-currency environments
Partner with HR, Legal, Tax, and FP&A
Coordinate with auditors and advisors
Requirements:
CPA
5–7 years’ experience, including Big 4
Strong US GAAP expertise
Working knowledge of IFRS
