CB Partners is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization to identify an Accounting Manage r to join its corporate accounting team. This position will play a key role in technical accounting, lease accounting, compliance, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives while partnering closely with accounting and finance leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the company's lease accounting process, including lease classification, journal entries, reconciliations, disclosures, and ASC 842 compliance.Lead technical accounting research and prepare accounting memos related to complex transactions and accounting guidance.Support quarterly and annual impairment analyses, goodwill testing, and going concern assessments.Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and maintain strong internal controls across accounting processes.Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entry reviews and balance sheet analysis.Partner with leadership on M&A activity, debt transactions, financial reporting initiatives, and special projects.Support annual audits through preparation of schedules, documentation, and auditor requests.Analyze accruals, reserves, and other accounting estimates to ensure accurate financial reporting.Collaborate with treasury, financial reporting, controllership, and operational teams to support business objectives.Identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficiencies within accounting operations.Assist with ERP implementation and upgrades, serving as a key resource and super user.Work across multiple systems to extract, analyze, and validate financial data.Develop and document accounting policies and procedures while ensuring consistency across the organization.Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to accounting staff members.Support executive leadership with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and strategic initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting.5+ years of accounting experience and 3+ years of leadership or managerial experience.Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting.Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems aptitude.Preferred QualificationsCPA certificationExperience with SAP, BlackLine, Power BI, LeaseQuery, or similar systems.We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
