    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Job Title: Accounting Manager        

    Department: Accounting                

    Supervision Exercised: Staff Accountants/Accounting Clerks

    Supervision Received: General Manager  

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
    • CPA or CMA certification preferred.

    Experience

    • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
    • Hotel or hospitality industry experience preferred.
    • Experience with accounting systems such as Aptech PVNG, OnQ PMS, or similar.

    Skills and Knowledge

    • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Ability to lead, train, and motivate accounting team members.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

    JOB DUTIES

    • Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
    • Supervise and review the work of accounting staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
    • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries.
    • Support month-end and year-end close processes for assigned entities.
    • Analyze financial data, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
    • Assist with annual budget preparation and periodic forecasting.
    • Coordinate audit activities and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
    • Collaborate with property and corporate leadership to support financial goals.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
