Supervision of the month end close process to ensure that tight deadlines are met accurately is key. The Accounting Manager will work with Operations, Board of Director members, internal and external auditors and senior management. This position requires an ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, be flexible, organized, and communicate decisions along with recommendations to management.How You'll ShineLead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals, including performance reviews, training, and team-building initiativesOversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tight deadlinesDirect and continuously enhance HOA accounting processes, driving efficiency and operational effectivenessPartner with peer managers to ensure consistency and alignment across the departmentPrepare and deliver financial reporting and analysis to internal stakeholders, including Corporate Accounting and senior leadershipSupport system conversions and ongoing general ledger (GL) operationsParticipate in and lead special projects and initiatives as assignedCoordinate and consolidate information for external HOA auditsManage budgeting and forecasting activitiesOperate with a high level of autonomy while proactively keeping leadership informed of key developments and risksInfluence both property-level (resort) and corporate-level financial operations and decision-makingWhat You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; MBA and/or CPA preferred4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within timeshare or property management accounting2+ years of management experience, or equivalent internal experience within Travel + Leisure Co.Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesThorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Results-driven with initiative and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentProven ability to lead, develop, and train team membersUnless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirementsHow You'll Be Rewarded:We offer a diverse range of comprehensive health and welfare benefits to associates who work 30 or more hours per week to meet your needs and support you throughout your career with us.
