    Description

    ResponsibilitiesDirects financial activities of an organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.Assists the company in achieving budget objectives (EBITDA, NWC, Sales, etc.) by establishing, monitoring, and analyzing critical business and manufacturing KPIs.Provides ad hoc analytics to summarize and illustrate business risks or opportunities in achieving budget objectives.Responsible for the month‑end close process to ensure timely and accurate completion of the close, including preparation of assigned journal entries.Maintains and prepares monthly financial reports. Willingly hands‑on in the documentation and recording of complex transactions.Assists the Controller in forecasting company business activity and financial position in income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.Serves as a key contributor to all aspects of inventory costing and supports manufacturing performance improvement efforts as needed.Reviews the labor and overhead rate periodically with the Controller and maintains those rates within the ERP system for annual cost roll.Works with engineering and operations teams to understand manufacturing variances and suggests improvements in operations or router updates.Collaborates with the Controller to identify continuous improvement projects in accounting and cross‑functional departments, setting appropriate milestones to achieve them.Identifies and supports cross‑functional continuous improvement projects as needed, developing analyses to support critical business decisions and driving process efficiency through technology or ERP functionality.Assists in the preparation of the capital request process (RFA) and provides support for analytics that communicate project ROI.Assists the Controller in preparing the annual budget and recurring forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities and developing mitigation plans to drive forecast accuracy.Assists in the preparation and execution of various audits of the company's accounts.Prepares SOX testing compliance documents as scheduled.Ensures internal controls are in place and operating effectively by monitoring transactions and identifying deficiencies, ensuring procedures align with corporate policies.Uses relational database tools and performs data mining, translating data into actionable plans.QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business or AccountingAt least five years of management/supervisory experience5+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment and cost accounting experienceExperience with SOX complianceAbility to effectively prioritize and multi‑taskAttention to detail, timelessness, and accuracyExcellent analytical and problem‑solving skillsStrong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including pivot tables, v/h lookups, macros, and graphsOther CompetenciesLanguage SkillsRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsWrite routine reports and correspondenceSpeak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organizationMathematical SkillsCalculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumeApply concepts of basic algebra and geometryReasoning AbilitiesSolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsInterpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAn individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
