Job Details

We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including monthly and end-year process, general ledger, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, etc. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for driving team performance with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee all facets of the Accounting department, including operations, financial reports, compliance audits, and statutory tax filings.
2. Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and processes to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
3. Coordinate activities of staff members and ensure all business transactions are recorded.
4. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; assist with regulatory reporting as applicable.
5. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
6. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
7. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
8. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
9. Meet financial accounting objectives and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
10. Collaborate with other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial services and general ledger management.
3. Proven leadership experience, ideally in public accounting (audit) or industry/ corporate accounting.
4. Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
5. Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
6. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
7. High attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Ability to direct and supervise.
9. Strong organizational, leadership, and customer service skills.
10. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
11. CPA or CMA certification will be considered a plus.
