We are currently seeking a Accounting Manager - Financial Disbursements for all PRS affiliate and managed communities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll lead and oversee the payroll and accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations. In this role, you’ll guide a high‑performing team responsible for payroll and AP disbursements, safeguard the integrity of financial processes, and uphold all regulatory and reporting requirements. You’ll also partner closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive efficiency, solve problems, and continuously improve how our financial operations run.

Location: Medford, OR - Full Time Onsite - Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Pay: $110,000 - $120,000 / annually DOE

- Lead, mentor, train, and manage a team of disbursement professionals by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring performance meets organizational standards.
- Supervise and manage disbursement processing—including vendor payments, payroll, employee reimbursements, and other liabilities—ensuring timely and accurate execution in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to reporting, payments, withholdings, retirement plans, and other financial obligations, serving as primary liaison for retirement plan audits.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, streamlined workflows, and continuous review of disbursement policies, procedures, and financial systems.
- Coordinate with accounting, HR, IT, and other departments to resolve discrepancies, maintain system security and integrity, support vendor and employee relations, and perform other duties as assigned.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial management including accounting, payroll, and accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Knowledge of disbursement processes, internal controls, tax regulations, and other AP/payroll practices.
- Possess strong leadership management skills, including performance management, problem solving, communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, ADP or other payroll systems), and experience with automation tools or process improvement initiatives.
