A well-established manufacturing company in Greater Boston is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting activities.
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing accounting functions, including financial reporting, payroll accounting, general ledger, AP/AR, cost accounting, cash management, compliance, and audit support.
Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis
• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy across all financial processes
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities
• Support audits, tax filings, regulatory reporting, and compliance initiatives
• Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff while supporting long-term team development
• Partner cross-functionally to provide financial insights and operational support
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of accounting/finance experience with 5+ years in a leadership role
• Experience within manufacturing, defense, or related industries
• Proficiency with ERP systems, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
