Established family-owned commercial /residential property company has a great opportunity for a dynamic Accounting Manager /Staff Accountant to join their team! You will serve as the accountant for a portfolio of residential and commercial properties, managing the full scope of accounting operations with one direct report and regular collaboration with HR & Payroll.
$75,000-$90,000 annually / Mon-Fri / Direct Hire
What You'll Do
Record and maintain accurate journal entries
Process and monitor incoming and outgoing financial transactions
Manage loan payments, schedules, and escrow funding
Allocate expenses across multiple residential and commercial properties
Prepare and reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
Pull, review, and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements
Assist with tax preparation, documentation, and year-end reporting
Support financial audits and internal accounting processes
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality of all financial records
What We're Looking For
5+ years of accounting experience
Real estate or property management accounting experience
Yardi experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
Experience with account reconciliation and financial reporting
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
