    Description

    Venteon is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to fill an opening with an established company located in Clarkston, MI.Requirements of the Accounting ManagerBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance is preferredMinimum 7 years of accounting experience, including time spent in a supervisory or leadership role.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and accuracy.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Experience in distribution is preferred but not required.The ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong customer orientation skills are essential.Benefits of the Accounting ManagerVery competitive compensation packageCompetitive benefits and paid time-off programStability and Profitable OrganizationResponsibilities of the Accounting ManagerOversee the annual financial statement auditManage the Accounting teamAssist controller with annual domestic and foreign tax returns and R&D and transfer pricing studiesMonitor all agreed upon action items on the quarterly ESM staff meeting minutes.Review Board Of Directors presentations and monitor agreed upon action items.Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to identify expense areas that are off budget.Oversee credit card expense process, review and monthly postingOversee daily and monthly team tasks to outline areas for improvement.Oversee and monitor the multi-entity financials and analyze for improved performance.Provide back-up to the Controller on an as needed basis.Provide back-up to the Staff Accountants on an as needed basis (this could include backing up A/P and/or invoicing as well).Assist operations with inventory performance analysis.Assist Controller in preparation for annual Board Of Directors meeting.Analyze, monitor and propose solutions for all profit leak areas.Backup controller for all supplier/customer rebate, incentive and commission programs when needed.Oversee reconciliations of inventory, A/R and A/P.
